Fabric Friday: Patchwork Pals – Fabric & Pattern Giveaway

Amy Barickman’s new fabric collection by Red Rooster Fabrics aptly proves the old saying, “What’s old is new again”! The book illustrations of Fern Bissel Peat brought imagination and fun to children everywhere in the early 1920′s. The fabric collection is inspired by the whimsical patchwork animals and graphic prints of this vintage artwork. It contains prints that are just as fresh today as yesterday with their simplicity and lively colors.

The thematic panel print holds a treasure-trove of possibilities! Make an extra special crib or wall quilt by embellishing the panel with yo-yo’s, buttons and/or rickrack. Two touches that augment the overall style of the collection! Frame the blocks with narrow rickrack or use yo-yo’s or buttons at the intersections of the blocks. Quilt the panel along the edges of the blocks, edges of the wavy alphabet banners and between the strips of the piano key border.
